THE 'MOOIHOEK' HOME

This beautiful home was built in c.1903 for William and Edith Carter.  William Carter was the local bootmaker and a popular, well-known citizen of Stawell.

The name 'Mooihoek' (Beautiful Corner) dates back to 1903.  Now, 115 years on, in it's fully renovated state, this Late Victorian and Federation style home is certainly living up to it's original name once again.

For SALTWOOD build, renovating is all about blending the old with the new, preserving as much original character as possible while bringing a home up to today's standards.  We certainly got the opportunity to do exactly that with 'Mooikoek'.  It was a joy to work together with such a talented client who's clear vision and consistent colour scheme produced this stunning masterpiece.
